Day in Pittsburgh

There are a group of friends that I love to hang out with whenever I get a chance. It’s a random collection of friends. We are from Middlefield, Lancaster PA, Guys Mills PA, West Virginia. All over. Our house becomes party central. We have a lot of fun together. We talk. A lot. We talk for hours and hours. Sometimes serious, more often not. There is never a shortage of entertainment with this group.

Usually we all meet up at our house. A couple of months ago we decided to go explore Pittsburgh. Not everyone in our group could be there but those of us that could had a party. Britt is a live-in-through-the-week nanny in Pittsburgh. Aaron went to college in Pit. Patrick is an experienced Pit. tourist. And we the rest of us live within a couple of hours of Pit.

We started out at Ihop for breakfast at a bright and early 11 am Saturday. Then on to downtown to a cool little indoor market.

Followed by a great game of frisbee football with a football. Sorry no pictures of that.

After the game because Aaron has connections, we went to The Sheraton?… one of the fancy hotels across the river from the skyline and got to stand on the deck and catch some great views.

For an even better view we went to The Duquesne Incline. Back in the days of coal mining they used the Incline transport cars to take miners and freight up the mountain. Eventually it was used for other passengers and now it’s mostly a tourist attraction.
