Well folks. I’m still working out what to write for one final exam so I’m gonna give you a few before and afters from the house. It feels a bit premature so I’m calling them Almost Afters.

And here is a During to give you a little better feel for the lay out

Bathroom – corner where the new toilet sits

Old toilet is sitting where the new vanity is now

We had to take out the window so we could put up a mirror above the vanity. We added a skylight.

Tub is in the same general area but moved a foot or two closer to the kitchen to give a little more room in the bathroom.

No before pics of the Laundry room since it didn’t exist. There were laundry hook ups in the kitchen. ???? weird. We enclosed part of the old garage-ish area…. see dining room before picture…. for the new laundry rooms.

It’s bright. I know. But it’s a laundry/unit room. It can be any color it jolly-well feels like being.

Terrible picture and from a totally different angle as the before picture. Most of this is blocked by the fridge which was being cleaned…

Bedroom before

Bedroom before – this picture was taken from the L shaped part of the living room which is now part of the bedroom.  See next picture

So that L shape part is now included in the bedroom/office

Sadly I couldn’t find the real before picture for the upstairs bonus room

Bedroom upstairs before

Bonus room upstairs before – note the giant hole in the wall by the window had been a chimney and the hole in floor (in the foreground) was also a chimney

Oops not the same angle as the before...

Oops not the same angle as the before… (the doorway between the rooms is right where the hole had been for the chimney. To door on the right is the closet door.

Bonus room during - there you can see the view from the top of the stairs. The insulation used in the ceiling was a spray foam.

Bedroom upstairs before - again the hole in the floor is where we removed a chimney

Showing you the lack of headroom at the top of the stairs. This was even before the ceiling was put in

That’s it. For now. I really need to do that exam now.

Hope you enjoyed this update.
