Housemates

I haven’t really lived with my parents for 5 and a half years now. I moved to Faith Builders in 2009. After I came back to Ohio, I was home for a month and then went to house-sit. That gig was only supposed to last a month to 6 months but it ended up being 4 years. I had several different sets of housemates over the 4 year period. First, it was just Krista and I.
Then Heidi and Kristi moved in with us for a year.
Then Karen moved in for about 7 months so it was Krista, Karen and I.
For the last year I lived alone. Finally, I got to the point where, between living alone and having a half hour commute morning and evening, I decided it was time to move closer to my parents/work. The homeowners found renters and I moved out.
The “Sperry Rd House” still holds a lot of happy memories. It was huge and gorgeous. We had lots of people over. The kitchen was perfect for hosting.
The homeowners asked me once “What is it like living in our vacation home? Do you realize how jealous we are of you?” They live in Texas for work but they love Ohio winters so they haven’t sold the house. They hope to move back in a year or so.
Since I had to move out of the house-sitting place before my new place was ready, I lived at home with my parents for 6 weeks during the transition. Just before Christmas I moved into my new house. It is a half mile from my parents/work. For those of you that don’t know, I work for my dad’s company, which is on the same property as the house I grew up in.
Right after the New Year Manda and Braydon moved in. Manda is a single mom and Braydon is the most darling little housemate I’ve ever had. Manda and I are friends now as well as housemates.
Here they are…
And a few more of Braydon since he is just so cute!
You’ll be seeing a lot more of this little munchkin. He’s a great subject to practice my photography.
He is adorable! Aren’t babies amazing?
Right?! Yes babies are so amazing! He melts my heart everyday. The little guy has me wrapped around his little finger and he doesn’t even know it. I can’t wait to meet your new little baby. 🙂
what an adorable housemate!
